Rams-Saints Thursday night: NFL betting odds, picks, tips

The Rams are the better 7-7 squad and should win this Thursday night pseudo-elimination game. After a short week, the Rams' lack of travel benefits their bodies.

Since Kyren Williams returned from IR, the offense has been humming, sitting second in the league to San Francisco in PPG (33.0), YPG (427.8), and Offensive EPA (46.42).

Do you trust Dennis Allen or Sean McVay more with your bet? That's simple. Rams -4 (-105) | Rams OVER 24.5 (-115)

We think the New Orleans offensive is weak, but they've been effective this year. Recent games are strengthened by the Saints' 18th-ranked weighted offensive DVOA.

The ninth-place Rams have a better offensive with Matthew Stafford at quarterback. My pick is OVER 46.5 because neither team has a top-10 defense and both are in the top half of the league in offensive pace.

My pick is the Rams -4 to cover the spread at home against the Saints. Four of Los Angeles' previous five games have been wins. The Rams are 4-1 against the spread over that span.

Most significantly, Matthew Stafford is healthy and using Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua as his top receivers. The veteran quarterback has averaged 265 yards and 3.0 touchdowns in his last four outings.
